The Faculty of Medical Sciences at Al-Sharq University was opened in 2023, and currently it has no counterparts in the universities of north-east Syria. It is intended to be the first of a series of faculties for all medical specialties in the long term. The faculty of Medical Sciences is a college in which students are accepted after high school. It is mainly concerned with studying medical and health sciences related to intensive care departments.  Graduates can work in broad and varied specialized environments such as: general intensive care, coronary and cardiac intensive care, central emergency departments and post-surgical care units.
